You May Be Losing Your Plan... But You Don't Have to Lose Your Advisor
Dear Erickson Advantage Members,
I want to reassure you that I am committed to helping you navigate the upcoming changes to your Medicare coverage.
As you may have heard, all Erickson Advantage Medicare plans will end on December 31, 2026. While your current plan is ending, our relationship does not have to end. I am now an independent Medicare insurance broker and can continue helping you understand your options and help you find coverage that fits your healthcare needs.
My goal is to meet personally with each of you. Due to the large number of members this may take some time. I understand that some of you may not want to wait and want to secure your new coverage before we have an opportunity to meet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why did I receive this notice?
A: Your current Medicare Advantage plan will not be offered in 2027. Your coverage under this plan ends on December 31, 2026.
Q: What happens if I do nothing?
A: You will automatically return to Original Medicare (Parts A & B) on January 1, 2027. However, you will not have prescription drug coverage (Part D) unless you enroll in a new plan.
Q: Do I need to choose new coverage?
A: Yes. To avoid gaps in coverage and maintain prescription drug benefits, you should enroll in new Medicare coverage for 2027.
Q: I am enrolled in Erickson through VIA Benefits, now what?
A: Prior to 12/31/2026 you Must either call or go to your online portal to choose a new plan. DO NOT contact another insurance agent as you could be at risk of losing your funding. You do not need an appointment with George.
Q: What if I have TRICARE For Life and Erickson Advantage?
A: Your Erickson Advantage plan will end on 12/31/2026 and you will revert to Original Medicare and Tricare. Or, you can review plans with George that offer additional benefits beyond Original Medicare. (similar to Erickson Advantage)
Q: What are my options?
A: You can:
- Enroll in another UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan (see above for comparable coverage).
- Return to Original Medicare and add a standalone Part D drug plan.
- Enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan from another insurance agent.
Q: Can I get a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan?
A: Possibly. Because your Medicare Advantage plan is ending, you may qualify for guaranteed-issue rights, which can allow you to purchase certain Medigap plans without medical underwriting, depending on timing and state rules.
Q: When do I need to make my decision?
A: The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15–December 7, 2026. A Special Enrollment Period is also available because your plan is ending, generally December 8, 2026–February 28, 2027. Enrolling by December 31, 2026 helps ensure coverage starts on January 1, 2027. If needed, you can make a change to your plan during the Special Enrollment Period after you have made your initial selection
Q: Will my benefits and costs stay the same if I switch plans?
A: Not necessarily. Premiums, benefits, provider networks, and prescription drug coverage can vary by plan and location. Review your options carefully before enrolling.
Q: Where can I get help comparing plans?
A: You can contact me (720-474-7401) using the information provided on this letter, contact UnitedHealthcare customer service at 1-877-596-3258 (TTY 711), call 1-800-MEDICARE, or visit Medicare.gov for personalized plan comparisons and enrollment assistance.
